Cadillac’s first electric car model
With the aim of entering the exciting electric vehicle market in the US, Cadillac has announced its first electric vehicle, the Cadillac Lyriq, which is expected to go on sale in 2022.
Under the stormy development of the electric car production industry, which is currently headed by billionaire Elon Musk’s Tesla company, traditional car companies cannot sit idly by.
On the outside, the Cadillac Lyriq has many modern design features such as a black grille combined with LED strips that are programmed to light up in different modes. The headlights and taillights are placed along the length of the body. Recently, the American luxury car brand Cadillac has introduced to the public its first electric car product – the Cadillac Lyriq.
The door handle will sink into the body of the car and only pop out when the button is pressed.
However, the new interior is the highlight of the Cadillac Lyriq when the cockpit is equipped with a large 33-inch screen that stretches across the dashboard. This screen will be responsible for displaying necessary information such as speed, number of rpm, warnings … and also entertainment features. Lyriq also added a head-up display on the windshield to assist the driver.
According to Cadillac’s announcement, the Lyriq model will have two different versions, one with rear-wheel drive and a high-performance version with four-wheel drive.
The Cadillac Lyriq will be equipped with new battery technology that allows it to travel up to 300 miles (482 km) on a full charge. The manufacturer also promises to provide an additional 150 kW fast charger for the Cadillac Lyriq.
Currently, there is no information on whether the parent corporation GM (which owns the Cadillac brand) will distribute the car model Cadillac Lyriq outside the US market.
